We know the rabbit can be a little bit strange so, you can use just chicken or chicken with pork… But it´s important to know that we will never use “Chorizo”. A valencian paella with “chorizo” is not a real paella, is a joke!!

Another important ingredient is the rice. Here in Valencia and surrounding areas we use “bomba” rice is not the long rice that people use in India. The “bomba” rice is a specific Spanish rice that it keeps the flavor and the taste. We get the “bomba” rice from our wetland area Albufera Natural Park rice paddies.

As you can see the ingredients are quiet basic, but very important. Other iportant ingredient is the water we should add or the soup we should add. It could be just water with some extra flavour added or you can get a previous vegetable or metat soup.

Once we talk a little bit about the history and real ingredients, let´s continue this virtual paella show cooking with the different steps we should follow.

With all the ingredients ready, we will learn the different steps with them. Fry the vegetables, add the chopped tomato, fry the meat, then the rice and then add the soup or water with favor.
